CVA Legal Fundraising

The Canadian Vaping Association has begun preparing for a legal challenge to save flavours and need your help to fund it.

As you know, the federal government has put forward a proposal to restrict flavours to tobacco, mint and flavourless. It is likely that the proposal will be implemented. In response, the CVA has retained Cambridge LLP to prepare for a constitutional challenge in advance.

Total fundraising goal – $1.5 million
Currently raised – $1 million
Deadline to fully fund – November 1, 2021

About Cambridge LLP

Cambridge LLP is a top Canadian firm, with extensive experience in constitutional law and class actions. Our case will be led by Douglas Elliott, who has been consistently recognized by his peers as one of the best lawyers in Canada. How will the flavour ban be challenged?

The legal strategy can’t be finalized until a flavour ban becomes law, however currently Cambridge is making the necessary preparations ahead of time. Additional information will be provided on this in the near future.

Please donate

The CVA has taken the initiative to prepare for a legal challenge, but it truly is the industry’s fight. Without flavours the industry as we know it in Canada is over. Vape businesses will be forced to close, and we will lose the ability to legally help adults quit smoking.  If you can, please donate and help us defend the rights of Canadians from government overreach.
